Seminar Australia Awards-Professional Development Series
Hari ini, tanggal 18 Oktober 2012, sedang berlangsung seminar kesehatan di bawah program : Australia Awards Alumni-Professional Development Series, dengan topik utama "Better Health : Strengthening National Health System". Acara ini dibuka oleh Prof. Ali Ghufron selaku Wakil Menteri Kesehatan, dan juga sebagai alumnus penerima beasiswa Australia Awards. Seminar tahun ini khusus mengangkat topik kesehatan dan mengundang para alumnus yang mengambil studi terkait kesehatan di Australia. Pertemuan ini adalah ajang pengembangan kapasitas untuk para alumnus Australia Awards, serta untuk menjalin koneksi dan kerjasama dengan sesama alumni dan peserta lain.
Seminar satu hari ini menampilkan sembilan presentasi seputar isu kesehatan, termasuk topik Improvement in Service Quality, The Role of Good Quality Data, serta Role of Private Sector. Keynote speech yang disampaikan oleh Prof. Ali Ghufron membahas rencana Universal Health Coverage di Indonesia, serta tantangan yang perlu dijawab oleh para akademisi serta peneliti dalam hubungannya dengan evidence-based policy making di sektor kesehatan.
