INTREC (INDEPTH Training and Research Centres of Excellence) is an EU-funded project that aims to provide state-of-the-art, region-specific training on social determinants of health for researchers and other stakeholders; and to bring together researchers and decision-makers so as to ensure that the latter receive the best available information to support their work.

The project is to run between January 2012 and June 2015 in four African countries (Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Tanzania) and four Asian countries (Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam).

Recently, there is INTREC social scientist Training Workshop that held on 20 - 24 February 2012.
